Brad Pitt's mother Jane has written an anti-Obama, anti-gay letter in support of Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney.
"Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a
vote for Romney's opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in
Jeremiah Wright's church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to
mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the
killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage," she states in The open letter was written in response to another that justified Christians' rights to refuse to vote for Romney because he's Mormon.
"I am also a Christian and differ with the Mormon religion," Pitt
writes. "But I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer
before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business
experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction
concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon."
While Brad has yet to comment on the letter — an email to his rep was
not returned — the actor has been vocal about his support for gay
marriage.
"When someone asked me why Angie and I don't get married, I replied, 'Maybe we'll get married when it's legal for everyone else.'" Pitt told Parade magazine
in 2009. "I stand by that, although I took a lot of flak for saying it —
hate mail from religious groups. I believe everyone should have the
same rights."
